How to Adjust the Time on Rolex Datejust Watches to GMT

Author:Watchesvc   Origin:watchesvc.com  Time:2010-08-25 05:00:50

GMT, or Greenwich Mean Time, is the time in the United Kingdom and is the center of world time zones. For example, GMT-8 (minus eight) is Pacific Standard Time. Setting the time on your Rolex Datejust watch must be done correctly to avoid damaging the Rolex Datejust movement.

Ways

Rotate the Rolex Datejust crown to the left until you feel it pop out. When the crown it screwed in, the crown is in "position 1." When the crown pops out it is in "position 2." In "position 2" you can manually wind your Rolex.

Pull the crown out two notches to "position 4." You will feel a click as the crown passes one notch. After two notches, the crown is fully pulled out and cannot go any further.

Rotate the crown clockwise to the right to change the time to Greenwich Mean Time. The second hand will stop in "position 4" and will not start again until you push the crown back in.

Push the crown into the watch while rotating it to the right to secure the crown back to "position 1."
