In 2009, Piaget, to mark the 30th anniversary of its iconic Piaget Polo watch, presented the Piaget Polo FortyFive watch sculptured in titanium. Inspired by the great success enjoyed by the timepiece, in 2010 the brand presents two novel interpretations of the watch - the Piaget Polo FortyFive with an openworked dial, and the Piaget Polo FortyFive Lady.The Piaget Polo FortyFive watch with an openworked dial has been created in two versions - as a chronograph model and a three-hand model with the date function.

Based on the Piaget Polo watch born in 1979, the watch demonstrates the same nice contrast of polished and satin-brushed finishes. The bracelet is seamlessly integrated into the case, with the bracelet featuring gadroons that echo the gadroons on the case. The slightly curved case profile offers supreme comfort of wearing. The dial features the signature trapeze-shaped appliques.

The case of the Piaget watch, 45 mm in diameter, is 100-meter water-resistant. The same as the 2009 model, the freshest Piaget Polo FortyFive demonstrates an appealing combination of materials - grade 5 titanium, vulcanized rubber and steel. The transparent case-back reveals the mechanical movement beating inside, designed, developed and manufactured in-house.

The heart of the Piaget Polo FortyFive chronograph watch is animated by a mechanical self-winding movement fitted with vertical clutch - Calibre 880P. The movement operates the flyback chronograph function, as well as the hours, minutes, small seconds, date display and a 24-hour time-zone. Equipped with twin barrels, it provides a 50-hour power reserve.

The 3-hand model is animated by a mechanical self-winding movement – Caliber 800P that drives the hours, minutes, seconds and date functions.

The movements boast fine finishing - bevelled bridges with hand-drawn sides and surfaces embellished with circular Cotes de Geneve pattern, blued screws, a circular-grained mainplate, a balance with adjustment screws and an oscillating weight provided with black PVD coating and engraved with the brand’s coat-of-arms.

The dial of the Piaget Polo watch features a number of openings that allow to see the heart of the timepiece mechanism with its black PVD-coated circular grained mainplate and the date disc. The dial with its black and metallic shades is highlighted by bright red accents on the hands, transfers and hour-markers. It is characterized by perfect readability even under reduced light conditions as the hour-markers are provided with luminescent coating.

The Piaget Polo FortyFive watch with an openworked dial will be available in a limited number of 500 pieces of each variation. It is presented on a rubber strap equipped with a steel folding clasp.
