Breitling and Bentley have had a long-lasting relationship, since 2003. In fact, it is strange that they hit it off only seven years ago – both companies have the winged B for their logo and value performance, precision and tradition, paired with technical innovation. The partnership between the brands is multi-tiered. Breitling not only creates dashboard clocks for Bentley supercars and supports the Bentley team in the Le Mans 24-hour endurance race, but also has launched a line of Bentley chronographs.
One of them is the Breitling Bentley GT Racing watch. The timepiece is an interpretation of the Bentley GT watch, only smaller sized. The most eye-catching detail of the timepiece is the diamond quilt motif decorating its bezel. The hand-stitched leather sports seats in the cabin of Bentley cars feature the same motif. As all Breitling Bentley chronographs, the Breitling Bentley GT Racing watch has a tachometer which has been developed for speed measurement. The other thing linking the watch to Bentley is the Bentley wheel design on the case back.
Beneath the strong-willed face of the timepiece, there beats a chronometer-certified movement, the Breitling Calibre 13B. As one would expect from the more than a century-old watch manufacturer, the movement is executed in a masterly fashion. It has a perpetual day and date calendar and provides for three sub-dials, indicating the month, year, and hour of the day in 24-hour format.
With the Breitling Bentley GT Racing watch, Breitling does as much credit to Bentley as the latter does to the former.
